Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1.9 liters water
- Ice to taste
- 3 large Black Tea bags (or 6 common)
- 700 ml cold water
Preparation
- 1. Place sugar in pitcher.
- 2. Boil water, turn off, and steep tea for 5-6 minutes.
- 3. Remove bags and reheat tea slightly.
- 4. Pour over sugar and stir to dissolve.
- 5. Add ice to half the pitcher and stir to melt.
- 6. Add cold water and refrigerate.
Notes
Adult use. Very sweet, so reduce sugar if preferred. Contains caffeine, so moderate use is best. People with hypertension, arrhythmia, anxiety, gastritis, reflux, or caffeine sensitivity should reduce intake. People with diabetes should avoid or adapt it. You may add lemon or orange juice to vary the flavor.
