Ingredients
- 1 liter water
- 2 bags (or 1 tablespoon) green tea
- 6 to 8 well-washed basil leaves
- 1/2 lemon in slices
- Ice to taste
Preparation
- 1. Heat water to approx 80°C. Do not boil.
- 2. Add green tea and steep for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 3. Remove bags or strain.
- 4. Let tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- 5. In a pitcher, add basil and lemon slices.
- 6. Pour iced green tea over them and let sit 15 to 30 minutes to infuse flavor.
- 7. Serve with ice.
Notes
Adult use. Contains caffeine, so avoid it at night if sensitive. People with hypertension, arrhythmias, anxiety, gastritis, reflux, or caffeine sensitivity should use it moderately and seek advice. Reduce lemon if you have gastric sensitivity. Keep refrigerated and consume within 24 hours.
